Germany, Kriegsmarine. A U-Boat War Badge, Wiedmann Design Auction Archive bronze with blue enamels(U Boot Kriegsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Kriegsmarine style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a central U Boat set across the badge on a hollow background, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but with the characteristics of manufacture by an
