The band had a short and contentious career, littered with legal problems, break ups, and member changes. Despite all the animosity, they were extremely popular and well loved, producing hit songs and albums. The band leader Richard Ashcroft went on to have a successful solo career, but they did end up reuniting the original lineup of The Verve in 2007 to produce one more album. This original Verve
