A Pilot’s Badge, Type 6, by Friedrich Linden consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac inscribed “Westbau 1938” above and(Flugzeugfhrerabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in position, with a block hinge and vertical pinback meeting round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of a Type 6 badge produced by Friedrich
