A 62Nd St. John's Fusiliers Canadian Militia Badge Archive Porpoise from July 1936 to62nd St. John's Fusiliers Fur Cap Grenade In brass, 96mm, extremely fine. Footnote: The Saint John Fusiliers traced their origins to the pre Canadian Confederation New Brunswick Militia. The regiment being designated as the 62nd Saint John Fusiliers effective November 5th 1869 but disbanded in 1871. The regiment was reconstituted as the 62nd Saint John Battalion of Infantry in 1872 and in 1882 again became the 62nd Battalion Saint John Fusiliers. In
