Forres Parks name derives from the old sugar estate that the Fernandes family acquired in the 1930s. This overproof rum was originally developed for the exclusive enjoyment of the Fernandes family and their estate workers. The word puncheon is an old name for the enormous wooden casks that the rum was stored in.
