A silver and gilded silver eight pointed star with three part rays, with an Urdy cross constructed of gilded bronze, with arms constructed of red enamel, with two swords crossed between the body of the cross, the obverse centre presents the monogram of the founder Ferdinand, surrounded by a ring of green enamel with the inscription (For Military Merit), reverse presents a vertical pinback, maker marked JOHANN
